Yes we crossed with our own vehicles. Same as for China, to get the permits for your own vehicle, it’s easier to use a local tour company. We’re using Burma Senses, OK so far. Use a forum like Horizons Unlimited to find other travellers to split the costs – we’re in a group of 10. Visas we got in Phnom Penh, not difficult.
